Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using the Exchange Rate API ("Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

The Service provides exchange rate data via a REST API. Data is sourced from the European Central Bank, FloatRates, and CoinGecko. Rates are provided for informational purposes and are not guaranteed for financial trading decisions.

3. API Keys

Each API key is for a single account holder. Do not share or resell your key.
You are responsible for all usage under your API key.
We may revoke keys that violate these terms or exhibit abusive behavior.

4. Usage Limits and Billing

Free tier: 5,000 requests/month. No credit card required.
Paid plans: billed monthly via Stripe. Overage charges apply as described on the pricing page.
You may cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal. No refunds for partial months.

5. Rate Limits

Requests exceeding your plan's rate limit will receive a 429 response. Repeated abuse may result in key revocation.

6. Prohibited Uses

Reselling raw API data without transformation or added value.
Automated scraping beyond your plan's rate limits.
Any use that violates applicable laws.

7. Data Accuracy

Exchange rates are sourced from third-party providers and updated hourly. We do not guarantee accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. The Service is not suitable as a sole data source for financial transactions.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to factors beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." Nimbus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
